Developing Radio Partners

Developing Radio Partners received its non-profit status, under 501(c)(3) of the IRS code, in August 2003.
Unrestricted funds are the foundation for all the projects you read about on this site. They enable us to develop new projects before they are funded and frequently to properly complete the work.
Now, more than ever, community-based radio needs your support to equip people with information that can make their lives healthier and more productive. We urge you to support the work of DRP that uses radio as a powerful tool for positive social change by giving communities a voice to address issues and celebrate their culture.

From David Haas, The Wyncote Foundation:
“The DRP values of collaboration, experimentation and focus on results are the answer to challenges of media development overseas. I'm pleased to have supported DRP from the beginning.”

From a Russian broadcaster who benefited from a DRP unrestricted funds project:
“The idea of public radio became close to me. I hope I will have an opportunity to participate in such project implementing in Russia. Probably for the first time in my life I not only saw but also felt the people who work not for money. They work with the goal to leave a trace after them not only on the ground but also in heads and hearts of the listeners. I felt it on the public stations.”
